The fact that I don’t cook has become somewhat of a joke in our family.
It is no exaggeration, though. My husband prepares 95 percent of our meals (including my lunch every day), and I’m not the least bit embarrassed to admit it. It’s not that I can’t cook; I simply prefer not to.
In fact, we moved into our new home two months ago and today was my first time using the stove. I couldn’t even figure out how to turn it on without cussing. But, I had a hankering for chocolate chip banana bread, so I was determined to make it work.
I love banana bread — it’s one of the few things I actually enjoy baking — and it’s incredibly easy to make.
